XAIS Asset Management has worked in collaboration with The Driven Company to help the Institute of Asphalt Technology (IAT) deliver up to date study notes on a range of courses at the University of Derby.

The IAT’s primary function is dissemination of knowledge to its members and the wider asphalt industry. As part of this, its courses at the University of Derby represent its leading educational offering.

It is essential that the material delivered to students on these courses contains the most up-to-date and relevant material available. Working with The Driven Company and XAIS Asset Management, the IAT has been able to combine proven theory with real-world asset management experience and insights to bring a range of topics to life.

Stephen Mead, Associate Director at XAIS Asset Management, said: “We’re delighted to have been invited to play a part in this successful collaboration. The approach truly reflects our desire here at XAIS to share industry best practice and asset management knowledge with all of our partners.

“The ability to embed key fundamentals and asset management competency at an early stage of someone’s career is crucial to the future success of our industry – and the long-term sustainability of infrastructure assets across the country.”

Brian Downes, IAT President, added: “I would like to record my thanks for your contribution in the recent project to update the IAT content delivered at the University of Derby. Being able to call upon the knowledge of experts such as yourself has made completion of the project possible.”
